hi everyone, i Just got a message that my files i recorded are on 8bit in Logic but I recorded it on 24bit
and its the same for all my projects with recorded audio.
dont know if all my files are corrupted or if its logic bug
i need help for find solution
i think it happens when i launched logic with rosseta
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13
I just check my files informations and they all are on 24bit or 16bit so I don't know why I get the message 8bit files
And my audio still visible on the project, can be listen to on finder when in media of the projects
to answer you my logic projects are all on the macbook pro disk (M2)
at first I thought it was a free space problem so I made sure to save space on the disk, I currently have 60 gigabytes available out of 250 (maybe I need more?)
and finally I had a hard drive formatted for an old Mac but which I don't use when composing or to store my projects, I nevertheless formatted it in APFS for the M2
I will try to create another user on my mac to try to launch a project and see if the message appears
I'll keep you posted, if anyone finds or knows the solution I'm interested
Some guesses:
Maybe you did work in the cloud with the project?
Maybe you did work on a drive which was not formatted with APFS or Mac OS Extended?
Maybe your drive has not enough free space?
I try to open it on a other user but it doesn't work, I also upgrade my Mac to Sonoma and didn't change anything

Once the files are corrupted, there is hardly any way back unless you have a backup. You can try to open the files in Audacity though....
what is the procedure to follow on audacity to try to recover the files?

No special trick. I would just try to open the files in another software ... and Audacity is pretty unpretentious in reading files and free available.
Did you try disabling Rosetta? Then reboot.
And to be even more specific. I would try using audio software that can read "raw audio". Please search the internet yourself.
