CPO IPad doesn’t show battery health

Hello there,

I have a question regarding a newly purchased IPad. I bought the iPad (Pro 11 2021 Version) from an Apple certified retailer (Lantre) in my country (Poland).

I bought it as an Apple certified pre owned model. Now, the problem is that the iPad doesn’t show the battery health in the settings, which it should. From my understanding, if the battery gets replaced by Apple themselves, the battery health still shows, right?

And the iPad is Apple certified pre owned, so it should have been replaced by Apple themselves, right?

Does anyone have an idea what this could mean? Am I wrong with my assumptions?

The battery health feature is exclusive to iOS for iPhone, inclusion of this feature being relatively recent.

iOS/iPadOS for iPad has never had the Battery Health feature - most likely because iPad batteries are both considerably larger and have a much longer service life.

An iPad battery is rated to maintain at least 80% of its initial capacity after 1000 full charge/discharge cycles - whereas an iPhone is rated to have 80% of initial capacity after 500 full cycles.

There are software packages available that can access battery cycle count. Popular choices for Mac are Coconut Battery and iMazing - whereas iMazing is available for PC.

Renewed/refurbished devices purchased directly from Apple or an Apple Authorised Retailer have been through Apple's own comprehensive refurbishment process - which, reportedly, replaces both the external casing and the iPad battery.
