What happens if you tap Settings > General > About > Parts & Service History?

If there is no message there, "service" has been performed by a non-authorized shop or person using non-genuine parts. Apple likely won't touch the phone now because of tampering.

Is there any reason you do not want to upgrade to iOS 26 in the first place? To answer your question, I doubt iOS 26 would be any more likely to fix it than a simple restart.
