Hi,
This is a user-to-user forum, so (with the occasional exception of a Community Specialist) do not expect any technical input from Apple here. If necessary, you may have to contact Apple Support directly, or Canon.

It would probably be correct to assume that the USB cable has been disconnected when attempting to use the printer via Wi-Fi.

If all Wi-Fi settings are OK, you may want to (again) try a full power-cycle sequence (including the router), in this order, with these waiting times: Power off the Wi-Fi router, the Canon printer, the Mac, and all other devices/computers. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the Canon printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on all other devices/computers.
You could also use an iPhone or iPad in order to check that wireless AirPrint printing (that is, without a special iOS/iPadOS app) works via the Wi-Fi router.

By the way, have you checked whether your printer has the latest firmware?
