Cannot send MMS on messenger

I have used messenger for 6-7 years now flawlessly. Then this morning I went on and tried sending a photo to a friend I regularly share photos with. I get "Cannot send message. MMS messaging needs to be enabled to send this message". So I went to my iphone clicked Settings>Messaging and both text message forwarding is enabled and being sent to my Mac, and MMS messaging is enabled.

I go to send the message again, and get the same error. Whats going on?

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 15

the mms settings on the iphone is in

setttings->mobile service->mobile data network->mms there are several settings that has to match your carriers

some places mobile service may be called cellular or something, otherwise you can use search in settings and search for APN

first made sure you can send mms to non iphones(as they otherwise will be send as imessages)

when you verified that works and it still does not work
