I transferred pictures from my sd card to my iMac (successfully). I now want to transfer pictures from iMac to sd card, but my camera says: 'no valid pictures'

Are your pictures in the Photos app?
If I were doing this, I would insert the SD card into an SD card reader (I see a bunch on Amazon with USB connections, some for less than $10) and use Photos File>Export to send the pictures to the SD card in the proper folder.
The camera may not recognize pictures that don't follow certain protocols, so if this doesn't work, you may have to talk to the manufacturer.
I did all that, every variation. The photos are on the sad card, I can see those on my pc. However, none of my cameras recognise the pictures.
What protocols do you mean? Pc, camera, as card? I have tried different brands of as cards too. I am flummoxed!!
