Accessing photos by date added (not date taken)

I am creating a 60th wedding anniversary video and collecting photos from people. For some of them, I cannot download them directly into a shared album. I need to download them to my photos first. However, when I do this, they download by date taken and not date added. Which means I am searching everywhere to find the photos and videos that I just downloaded. Is there a way to indicate that I want to Access the photos and videos that I just downloaded? Thank you!
