How to install tensor flow on macOS sonoma on intel

I am trying to install tensor flow on my MacBook pro running Sonoma on Intel.

I have tried a dozen different methods and suggestions and have run into the latest Python version not

being compatible and requiring an older version, suggestions to disable the GPU, using an older Python version but getting a message that Xtools is not compatible, yada yada yada.

I've tried UI approaches as well as Terminal using pip, homebrew and mac ports and gone into the shell itself

and rearranged the .profile and directories.

Someone must be running Tensorflow on an Intel Mac running Sonoma. MacBooks are the most popular machines around and Tensorflow is the most popular ML platform, Intel MacBooks are still everywhere.

Anyone have a step-by-step process how they did it?

If the provided installation instructions don’t work:

…probably best using a Python installer from Python.org (and probably not Homebrew or such), then contact the TensorFlow app developers.

Per the posted info: “TensorFlow uses GitHub issues, Stack Overflow and TensorFlow Forum to track, document, and discuss build and installation problems.”

(Why ask about this install issue elsewhere? Unless you get very lucky around here, ASC just isn’t going to be a deep resource for TF-related install issues, based on postings over the last couple of years around here. Or, well, you could start a new trend here, too.)

PS: The TensorFlow 2 website indicates the macOS port does not included GPU support.
