Safari logs out of websites, need to continually sign back in

My 2017 MacBook Air Monterey 12.7.1 has recently began making me log back into websites after several minutes of use and always when opening a site. I also have a desktop (new Mac mini with latest version of Sonoma) and once signed in, most websites do not require another sign in unless I sign out. How can I fix the laptop? I have tried deleting history and cookies to no avail.

I'm having the same issue since upgrading to Sonoma. I keep getting logged out of websites and only happens on Safari. Note that I had to upgrade to Sonoma because the 12.7 Monterey upgrade almost completely bricked my 2021 Macbook Pro and I had no choice but to do a clean install from a second Mac.
