Lossless 24 bit 192khz AppleTV

I want to play my Hires-flac stored on my dlna-server on Appletv with their original quality. AppleTV is converting everything to 16 bit, 48khz. That’s really bad. Will Apple ever fix this? From what I can see, it’s been on many peoples wish lists for years. I don’t really want to buy a separate streaming device for this but if I do, I might as well use my TVs apps for video and ditch the AppleTV for good.
