Can't listen to my library because my older USB cabled iPod isn't recognized. What is best Bluetooth devise to be able to listen to the music.

The iPod should be recognised via the USB port, although I have noticed a couple of other discussions that say this does not happen.

Try a different cable between the iPod and the USB port because some cables only charge and are not capable of data transfer (sending music over the cable).

Alternatives to a cabled iPod should be any Bluetooth capable device that can store and play your music. Note though, that (in my experience) most vehicles can only use one Bluetooth device at a time. In other words, if your phone is connected via Bluetooth to the vehicle, you will not be able to use a second Bluetooth device at the same time.

Your options would appear to be use your phone to store your music and to play it from the phone to the vehicle. If you don't have a phone connected via Bluetooth, how about an iPad?
