Brand new IPhone 13 and cable doesn’t fit
I just received my new IPhone for work. It’s an IPhone 13. The cord that came with the phone will not fit into the phone port. Help?
iPhone 13, iOS 16

Did you purchase this iPhone directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? If so, it would have included a USB-C to Lightning charging cable. Was this not the case here? In order to properly use this cable, you would also need a USB-C power adapter to plug the USB-C end of the cable to.
the connector that goes into the iphone 13 looks like this
if your cable does not look like this then you got a wrote cable which if it was me would make me return it
if the cable does look like this then there could be
dirt and lint in the ios devices connector can cause this, when it happens to me I use a toothpick or match to clear it out
a defect cable, testing with another cable could show if it is so
a defect port in the ios device
Just found out I have the same issue. The cable with 13mini I bought some time ago is USB-C-USB-C, which doesn't fit to the mobile. I haven't realised this before because I kept using cable from my previous iPhone. If it really is the case that Apple knowingly issues a cable you can't directly charge your mobile with.
