Car Play stopped working on my iphone--however my husband in the same car works fine. Any suggestions

I returned from being out of the country and plugged IPHONE into car --no symbol -its gone. The car play symbol is grayed out when my phone is plugged into the normal outlet for communications to CARPLAY. The system works fine with my husband iphone and a co workers iphone . It is as if my car does not know how to communicate . I wil say I did the update and also checked normal procedures it simply won't find my car in car play.
