How do I reset my Gmail app which is not showing as "sent" or actually sending e-mails properly

Some of my settings were changed by someone and I do not know 2wich or see any obvious incorrerct settings

how to reset or reinstall the mail app My email accounts will go offline after awhile, and need to force quit the mail app or restart to get it quit. it also using lots of cpu and boost the cpu temp high. try many ways and cannot get it fix.
