Transfer text history to new iphone 14

I recently purchased an iphone 14. I chose to transfer all data thru the cloud rather than thru my old 11 Pro iphone device for greater speed. All data appears to have transferred over successfully EXCEPT my long history of text messages. How can I get those to now display on my new phone? Thank you for your help!

I'm grateful for your guidance here. I do have old phone. Opened Settings - tapped name at top - tapped icloud. I'm connected to wifi and and messages still display on old iphone. New text messages appear on new iphone 14 - just no history of messages even tho I'm connected to wifi. Now what, please?

Do you still have your old iPhone? If you do, open Settings > Tap your name at the top> Tap iCloud > Make sure you have messages turned on and the phone connected to Wifi. Once your messages sync to the cloud, then on your new iPhone, do the same and make sure Messages is turned on in iCloud and messages should sync. This assumes you are using the very same Apple ID on the new iPhone as you used on the previous iPhone.
