14 Pro max not charging from Car USB port

Help appreciated!! So I recently got a notification that I had liquid in my lightning port (not uncommon from being in a restaurant) and let it dry out, and it charged just fine, and has continued to be fine charging through a wall or in the plug from my lamp (which is usb-c plug). However, after that my usb charger in my car has not been powering my phone, maybe for an initial ten seconds to get my carplay display going and then will immediately turn off and it will not keep charging it. It does charge other peoples phones and starts carplay so I do know that my car is not the issue. I even bought a new apple usb cable today and it did not work.
