Battery Level on Settings Do Not Match

I currently have 78% of battery level, but it's different on the battery level on settings. This happened after my macbook draining from 96% to 0% after I leave it in sleep mode overnight.

Ah!

Troubleshooting Battery Level Inconsistencies:

(Applies to Intel-based Macs Only): Sometimes when changes are made to the system(i.e. updates), system configurations (i.e. for Sound) become manipulated, technically. So, reset the SMC and NVRAM.

  • Boot into Safe Mode:

When you boot into Safe Mode, items load by default, with certain settings and caches set aside. So, hold down the shift key upon boot. See what happens then.

  • Create a New Administrator:

See if creating and logging in as a new administrator does the trick. There may be something misconfigured in your current user - something that is getting in the way. Go to: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Unlock > Click: "+" > Create the new administrator

"Thank you so much for your assistance. I think all of the instructions you gave me will work. However, I noticed that the battery level graph matched the current battery level on its own. I'm just going to test for the drain problem again later and see if the draining of battery on sleep mode will persist. (Btw, I always put my mac into sleep mode whenever I go to bed and it usually only drains 2-4% level. I don't know why it dropped from 96% to 0% this morning)."

"Thank you for responding to my concern. I am using the official charging cable and adapter with 61 Watts. That happened after my mac drained while in sleep mode last night. It's also my first time encountering it. Therefore, should I just ignore the battery level on settings?"

You are welcome.

No. Do No ignore the Battery Level. You need to troubleshoot it. See my following reply.
