The BBC iPlayer app often (but not always) does not play shows. I am able to navigate to the episode but on hitting play the screen goes black and a small red ‘no entry’ type song is shown in the bottom left corner on the progress bar.
I’ve seen a number of posts around AirPlay issues but AirPlay for me works fine. It is the actual Apple TV IPlayer app that is not working. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thanks for the suggestion but I suspect it might not be an Apple problem - I have 3 Apple TVs - one of them pre 4K and I get the problem with all three, so reboots won't work - the problem is consistent with blocked content on all three. This happened, I suggest, overnight so either the Apple OS has changed or the BBC has applied something to Apple TVs that wasn't there before that impacts some users. The Airplay workaround functions well for me but I guess that is not really the point.
