Did you try to login from the browser to your email account and change the password, also double check the configuration in Apple mail if you configured the email as 'other' and check your email provider status it could have temporary problems

You should remove the email account, hard reset (force restart) your iPhone and re-add the email account again
The system rejects my email address because "it is being used as my Apple ID". ?? But, this has been the setup I have had for many years and I never had a problem before. Also, I got all my emails on my computer, so why not on my iPhone?
What's the error?
Incorrect password. I changed it a couple of times and the error keeps showing up.
I did that already and once I input the new password the error reappears
