For a few weeks 15 to 20 of my apps (set to manual updates) update every day! I have auto update turned off or I would have no idea how often the apps update. This continuous app updating seems excessive.
Why so many so often?

Apple is constantly working on iOS updates to ensure the user experience with iOS is a smooth and good as possible. As a result, as Apple works on updates, they share the API's with app developers who need to update their apps to make them run with the new updates in iOS. This is pretty common and not unusual.
Well, in the last 50 days (from September 18 to yesterday,) there have been six iOS updates, so it seems normal to me that third-party app developers are concerned with keeping their apps updated to ensure they work properly on your device. Don't you think so?

The amount the phone itself has to update is kinda ridiculous. My phone works worse after every single update. Please stop siding with big corporations and give a useful answer or none at all.
I have 60 or so apps on my iPhone, and a day rarely goes by without at least two of them updating, up to eight now and then, more on some days. How many apps do you have, in total? Is the proportion similar?
While the updates at times might be frustrating, Apples constant updates are what protects users from the hackers.
Me too. iPad though not the iPhone.
