I have been getting updates everyday and many seem to have been repeating. Today I have 27 updates, and in 10/23/25 about 17 updates. Do I have too many apps? Because most of them are for the same apps?

There is a very good chance that the updates that you are seeing are not updates for Apple apps. They are updates for third party apps that you have "purchased" (some apps might have been free) through the App Store. Apple would of course have no control over the number and frequency of updates that you might see from a third party app.
So, I imagine that most if not almost all of the "updates" that you are seeing are not updates for Apple apps. There are popular apps that issue almost daily updates.......(for example, WhatsApp comes to mind immediately).
If you want to pursue this, please post a list of the apps that you see with frequent updates and we'll take a look.

If you recently upgraded your iPhone to iOS 26.x.x it’s normal for developers to release bug fixes, and compatibility updates to insure proper operation using the new iOS software. Sounds normal to me.
