Creating a Table Of Content in Apple Pages

I cannot figure how to set up a Table of Content in Pages. I don't understand how to set it up. I just need a simple way to set up a TabIe Of Content to enter Chapters and pages for the chapters

Multiple tabs/instances of same Pages doc open at once In Google Docs, I can open the same doc in multiple tabs in order to view different sections of the doc at once without needing to make duplicates of the doc, etc. Is there not a way to do this with Pages? In real life, it's nice to be able to view different parts of the same document, unclipped, pinned to a wall, etc. Is that too much to ask for in Pages?

Open 1 document with multiple saved tabs on Pages? Hello Community! Is it possible to have multiple tabs on pages to be saved to one document? I want to do this so when I open one document, it will also open the other tabs saved with it? This would help me with taking notes that are on different subjects! Thank you in advance Everyone!

creating a pdf table of contents in preview Its been years I have been a way to add individual custom table of contents & edit already existing table of contents its such a basic feature but apple just doesn't seem to listen & is so frustrating I don't want to use 3rd party apps for pdfs cause it uses additional space & there is always subscription not asking here for apple to convert pdfs to other formats like word or document just the capability to add edit & remove table of contents or outlines please somebody help bookmark is another thing entirely , its helps easy accessibility to frequently visited points & important tables , etc please improve table of contents its been years maybe apple desperately keeps this unusable so that uses are forced to use 3rd party apps & pay for subscriptions so that apple can make a cut hope apple listens just frustration of a regular college student with Mac

If you are still back on macOS High Sierra (10.13 from your profile) then certain features in the following will not be applicable.
