Storage full
I’ve been deleting messages all day and my storage hasn’t changed. Why?

When you delete messages they are moved to a Recently Deleted list. You must also remove them from that list before their space is recovered.
Another factor is that usually messages take very little space, so removing them will not recover much space. Go to Settings/General/iPhone Storage to see which apps are using the most space.
