How to do an emoji request for iPhone?

There should be a cute pumpkin emoji that does not have scary Halloween jack-o-lantern face so I can send it after I call someone pumpkin. ❌ 🎃

I’m requesting a capybara emoji :)

Entirely wrong audience for these requests.

You’ll need to ask the Unicode emoji committee. Start here: How to request a new Emoji? - Apple Community

Capybara requests were declined in 2017 and 2020: https://unicode.org/emoji/emoji-proposals-status.html

More details than you probably want follows.

Each of us is unique. Many, many different people, hair colors (green, pink, red, purple, and blue among many other missing colors), hair styles (straight, somewhat curly, Einstein, Centauri, braided, and many others), many valued flags, and myriad other things exist without representative emojis. We all exist.

I don’t look anything like any of the emojis for instance, and can get only slightly closer with Apple’s own local Memoji customization. And VRM tools for Vtube can get much closer. But unlike emoji, Memoji and VRM won’t display everywhere, of course.

For your particular hair color request, Apple and many other vendors implement the Unicode standard, which includes Emoji, and which includes various modifiers. So that your request can be properly viewed across the many systems that can display Unicode, you’ll want to submit a proposal to the Unicode Emoji committee.

Send your hair modifier proposal to the Unicode Emoji committee using the info here:

https://www.unicode.org/emoji/proposals.html

At present, section 2.8 lists the (zero-width joiner (ZWJ)) hair modifiers currently available: white, red/ginger, curly, and bald:

https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr51/#Emoji_Modifiers_Table

The standard also states: “There are hundreds of possible distinctions among hair colors and styles, but to limit the number of combinations—and because emoji are presented with a “cartoon” style—there is a small number of hair components. Note that the hair color blond has already been provided for by an explicit blond man/woman/person emoji. Brown/black-haired are already typical defaults for hair color in human-form emoji.”

There should be a "wing" emoji in the food section so when I tell my friends I'm eating wings I can put an emoji after it. Such as: #eatingpizza🍕 or Do you want to come over tonight and eat some pizza 🍕!

Or, you could just say, "Do you want to come over and eat wings?" Telling your friends you're eating wings without offering to share seems unkind.

Use the links already provided to start the request process.

There should be a margarita glass, lime, pepper shaker

Lime 🍋‍🟩 was approved, black pepper was denied, and nobody’s apparently submitted a proposal for just glassware, though a party cup was declined, and then there’s this🍹concoction and beer 🍺 🍻 and few others.

Please see the other replies for how to submit proposals to the Unicode Emoji committee.

To re-submit a new request for Mustard to the Unicode Emoji committee—a proposal for mustard was rejected back in 2018—use the links and the details previously provided in this thread.

I request that yall make an emoji of the weed plant logo. It is now legal so we should make it an emoji now.

Whether or not it's legal, in addition to being completely irrelevant to whether or not there is a little cartoon, depends on where in the world you live. In the country in which I live, the U.S., federal law still considers it illegal.

Read the thread. Only the Unicode Consortium creates emoji, which includes flags. And the United Nations would have to recognize First Nations as a Country, which is MOST unlikely. There are no flags for any State in the US either. There are no flags for Territories or Regions. There are ONLY flags for Nations/Countries Recognized by the UN.

Information and background on why flag submissions aren't being accepted by the Unicode Emoji committee, directly from the Unicode consortium:

That's the one I was looking for and didn't find. Guess I should have read the thread from the beginning....

That link wasn't previous posted in this particular emoji-request thread, as this was the first flag request in this particular thread.
