use my built-in camera

I am trying to use my built-in camera on my 2019 27" iMac to simply scan a square QR box much the same as I would using my iPhone12. How do I do it? The camera works because I perform a video session with my doctor.

Final Cut Pro X I hate to break it to you guys gently you cannot connect a USB external camera to Final Cut Pro X I tried to trial version. It was a waste of my time so I deleted it and only use Photo Booth free. I’m glad I didn’t spend $300 on the software I couldn’t use, but that’s apple for you very fussy. They take away their ability to connect external source to Final Cut Pro X program

Your iMac's camera can certainly "see" a QR box, but you would need software on your Mac to interpret it. As such, you would be looking for some type of an QR scanning app, which you may find at the Apple App Store.
