How do you use the little heart icons on your phone when using a text message? I’ve received several messages using that little icon bubble. I’ve tried to send them and my phone does not show those bubbles anymore. I once had that option on my phone and now it’s gone. I would like to get that back.

If I understand you correctly, to reply with a heart, or thumbs up on a response directly, hard press on the response you received and you'll see a box at the top with a heart, thumbs up, thumbs down, haha, !! and ?. Just tap the response you feel best fits.
If that's not what you mean, then type your response and hard press on the blue send arrow, which will take you to the effects you may be looking for.
