iPad Mail App - always open to Inbox

iPadOS 16.7.2

When I open the Mail app, I always want to have the Inbox screen show, not the last mail read to show.

Also, when I go back to Mailboxes, both of my 2 mail accounts show all folders, I want 1 of them stay closed - but it always show full folders lists of both accounts no matter what I do.

Is there any way to get the mail app to do what I want?

This is not how the mail app worked on an old version of iPadOS.
