That's a TB3-to-2 adapter.

The Late 2013 iMac has Thunderbolt 1 ports. So both the iMac and the TB-to-Firewire adapter are using the old form of Thunderbolt (which lives on a Mini DisplayPort connector), and the TB3-to-2 adapter is not needed.

I checked the link and it IS the correct, original Thunderbolt-to-Firewire adapter. But it appears to be on an Apple Hong Kong server.

I could not find it on the Apple US site, perhaps Apple do not sell it any more. But it is still available from Amazon and other online sellers.
