DV transfer to Imac

1) I have a late model Imac (Late 2013). How can I connect my Canon HV30to my Imac (late 2013).

2) What Thunderbolt connection do I need to connect my canon HV30 (DV) to my Imac?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.14

Depending on your version of Thunderbolt you might need the TB2to TB1 adapter. You might also need a FW800 to FW400 4 pin adapter/cable

That's a TB3-to-2 adapter.

The Late 2013 iMac has Thunderbolt 1 ports. So both the iMac and the TB-to-Firewire adapter are using the old form of Thunderbolt (which lives on a Mini DisplayPort connector), and the TB3-to-2 adapter is not needed.
