Intel Mac vs Apple Silicon storage and ram recommendations

We are a small newsprint publishing company and we are needing to move our Intel based Mac minis to Apple Silicon minis. We use InDesign and Acrobat Pro mostly, with light to medium Photoshop use. 1TB of storage and 16GB of RAM has been a good balance of power and cost for our operation - would the same specs be a good match as we move our workstations to Apple M2 minis?

I don't yet have anything equipped with apple silicon, but judging from things I have been reading in these pages, a 1TB / 16GB Intel Mac would be far outperformed by a 1TB / 16GB M.x Mac. basically, the apple silicon Macs are a whole new world of performance.
