iPhone 15 pro - ruined my iTunes! Will NOT allow to connect now. ZERO help from Apple.

Bought a new iPhone 15 Pro. Transferred all of my iPhone 12 info directly to the 15, then tried to sync the 15 to iTunes on my PC. the 15 began to overheat, so I was instructed to return it, and went back to my trusty 12. NOW, iTunes will not recognize ANY of my Apple products (iPhones or iPads). Been on the TX with 2 nice guys from support for OVER 4 hours - still no joy. WHAT THE ****, Apple??? Aside from communications, I rely heavily on my iPhone for music. NOW, I'm totally screwed, and have more time that I have available on the phone with support telling me to do the same things over and over and over again. Maybe this is just venting because I suspect nobody in the community here knows how to correct, but just beware!!
