How can I reduce wind noise while using AirPods Pro 2?

Just got the new AirPods Pro 2 USB-C and compared to my old Gen 1 they can't handle wind near as good. I am a cyclist and the Gen 1 worked well but the Gen 2 is almost useless in blocking the wind. Is there somebody that got a fix for this.

I had the exact same issue. I thought it was the noice cancelling mics, then I tried to change the silicon tips for a couple memory foam tips and now they are as good as mine gen 1 AirPods.

I also must say that it felt as the tips had a perfect fit, the same as my gen 1 but somehow the windnoise were a fit problem.

Sorry for taking time to answer.

I use this with silicon outside of the memory foam, and with them the wind noise is the same as the gen 1. I think you can try some and see what’s fits you the best. I have seen that many is using the Comply memory foam tips.

Here’s the one that I use for the moment.

Me too. I had the first gen and they were fine on the bike. With these, even just walking on a slightly windy day it gets so loud I have to crank the volume to unsafe levels. On the bike I bought an ear warmer that has helped but obviously I don’t want to be wearing one for this purpose only. And not at all in summer. Been through support and my AirPods passed diagnostics with no errors. I’m worried it’s just a design flaw. Frankly it drives me bananas to think I have to live with it or find a non apple pair of headphones.

For sure, the gen 2 Airpod Pros are much worse with wind noise on my daily cycle commutes. What a let down! I hope Apple can fix this with a firmware update - it's a showstopper. Also probably related: I use compressed air in my work environment, and with the original Airpod Pros, the noise cancellation would reliably cancel the loud sound of using compressed air. With the gen 2 model, it AMPLIFIED the loud sound, and actually hurt my ears badly when it peaked.
