Sticker stains on my mac - trade in

I agree. Plus most times it is impossible to remove the staining of old stickers since it reacts with the coating & the metal. I would imagine cosmetic damage would be frowned upon since it would mean Apple could not resell the laptop as is, but would need to replace the very expensive part(s) cutting down or even cancelling any profit.
