I'm considering adding a privacy screen protector to my Macbook Pro due to the nature of my work. I often work remotely in public spaces, and I want to prevent people from looking at my laptop. I have some concerns about screen protectors with magnets, though. Could these magnets potentially damage the screens of our Macs? Thanks in advance.
If you close the lid of the laptop with a screen protector on, there is a possibility of cracking the glass resulting in a very expensive repair. There is very little clearance between the display and the keyboard/palmrest when the lid is closed on the 2016+ Apple laptops.
