iPhone displaying dates in Hijri instead of Gregorian

My iPhone's day and date system has somehow switched to using the Hijri calendar and I can't seem to get it to switch back. I even turned off Alternate Calendars in the Calendar settings yet the issues remains. What could I do to fix this?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 17

You may be aware that when you add a birthday in the Contacts app the same is reflected in the Calendar App too.

You may also be aware that there are 4 types of Calendars on an iPhone, namely

  1. Gregorian
  2. Chinese
  3. Hebrew
  4. Islamic

Please see the pic below which is self-explanatory. The birthday chosen is here is random and is created only for explanation purposes only.
