I get a system error message when I try to connect the Paramount + App on my phone with AirPlay to my Apple TV
I’m not sure what’s going on.
Does anyone have an answer for this one?

apps can choose to block airplay if the app developer so chooses, so if it's only the paramount+ app that has issues then that would be a cause, if it was me then I would reach out to them to verify it

It wouldn’t give this message from the get-go but after playing for a bit, then this message would come up. Hulu’s app would just kick me out once in a while and I would have to try reconnecting a few times until it synced again.
Could it be that my Apple TV is an older generation and not compatible?

don't know, to my knowledge all but the first generation of appletv which did not support airplay at all, then they are all created equal in terms of airplay
