I connected my external Mac Magic Keyboard to my Mac desktop. A window pops up but does not recognize the keyboard. The thing keeps spinning. The keyboard was not used for a while. However, I can’t SIGN IN to go to System Preferences. Help! This post HAS included text????

I tried to charge it on the desktop.
Then I removed the cord, and charged it on my iphone charger and it worked.
don't know why it didn't charge directly from the desktop.
I think, I had not turned off the keyboard, and didn't use the computer (desktop) for over 6 weeks and the keyboard went dead.
all is well now, thank you all.
