Dictating In the Safari Searchbar

I have just transitioned to a new Mac Mini (Ventura) from the ancient original iMac 27" 5K and surprise, surprise, things don't work quite the same. For the moment, I would like to know the process for using Siri for dictation in the

searchbar window of Safari. Right now, I hold Command + Spacebar to activate Siri, hoping that what I dictate would go into the above searchbar but no - the searchbar remains empty and Siri opens a new window that has information related to my query. So what do I do to dictate into the Safari searchbar?

FWIW, if you want to dictate something in Safari's search bar, you need to enable Dictation.
