Can't import audio into Safari

I can’t import audio files into Safari. Some websites will only accept audio files, and I can’t import them. There needs to be a way to import audio files into Safari. You can’t just leave me struggling.

Hi pinecone96,

welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.

Re: "Can't import audio into Safari"

Wondering what model of hardware (Mac, iPhone etc.)and which OS software version you are using.

Seems it is the website that has left you despairing of placing your audio files on it.

We'd like to help, yet do not have any information about what the website's requirements are. There must be clear instructions on how to contribute audio files available to you. Instructions would generally be available for you to view there on the website ... eg: check for a support section for viewers, a help section, info. via Q and A, or a "FAQ" section on the website.

Safari is a browser for viewing websites, and can download files of various types to a computer or device.

Safari may assist in the transfer (upload) of files from a device to a site, if the files are those the website accepts. (A website may have an app to download that helps streamline file preparation and / or upload.)

Websites that invite / allow you to upload audio files would generally have certain requirements that would need to be met. Eg: which file-format (.mp3, .wav, etc. file-type) does the website require for audio files to be accepted ... is there a time-limit (seconds / minutes) of how long an audio file may be ... is their a file-size limit (Mb / Gb) for audio files, so there is space for others to upload files. It would generally be up to you to prepare an acceptable file, and then upload it to the website using their method.

Apple freely provides the Garageband app, Voice Memos, and the QuickTime app for creating / working with / audio files. Files can generally be exported from an app to a computer or device, or shared, uploaded etc.

All the best :-)
