cant open hr block 2019 software on macOS sonoma

I downloaded the HR Block 2019 Software on My macOS Sonoma 14.1.1 and I move the download into the application folder. double click it to open and then the widget bounces at the bottom of my screen and the software never opens. I have removed and reinstalled several times. looked for and found no updates, I purchased and downloaded 2021, 2020, and 2019 software and the 2021 and 2020 both opened and worked without any issues. I need help please.

App not downloading from macOS app store Restart macOS. Open App store. See an app (any app). Click "get". Click "Install". App store pop up appears but the only option is "Cancel". Nothing else happens. No app downloaded. Pop up stays up on screen. Question: Should some other button appear on that popup? [Edited by Moderator]

Silent Knight reports 'Error updating the Property list' on MacBook Air with macOS Big Sur MacBook Air running Big Sur and using Silent Knight from Eclectic Light Company, Howard Oakley.
