How do I set up my 7 year old childs ipad up...create a separate apple id?

I do not like sharing my apple id because of privacy issues... she would have access to my photos, meassages etc

can i create a child account for an iPhone without parent having iPhone or Mac? I have an iCloud account, but steps to create child account are on iPhone or Mac. I do not have either and my daughter wants an iPhone. Thanks

Correct. Every user needs their own Apple ID.
