Adjust settings for photo names on iPad

Photos taken on my iPad are automatically named IMG_1036 and so on. How can I change the setting for file naming so that the photo name includes the date and time the photo was taken? When I import photos to my desktop, if I already have photos with the name IMG_1036 finding and importing photos can be difficult. Note: I do not use iPhoto to store and view my photos for work reasons. Also, I am not asking how to re-name files after they have been imported. I want to change the setting for naming creation as files are created/ photos are taken.
