Editing a Photobooth video on a Mac, OS Monterey, 12.6.7

I have looked at instructions for editing a Photobooth video and it says while watching the video I should "Choose Edit > Trim". I don't see an Edit option or any yellow Start or Stop markers available anywhere in my video.

Do I need to update my OS from v.12.6.7? Will I lose my video if I do? Or better yet ...Where do I find the Edit option?

the trim video feature for editing videos on photos app on imac is not working I double click the selected video on photos app and then press edit. The video time line does not light up in yellow when I try to trim. Only the slider on the left is working anyway suggesting that the slider is only indicating the time line and not trimming. All the other editing features appear to be working, just not the trim. How can I fix this. It does work on my iphone but the screen does not accurately show the exact time where I wish to trim. I can only approximate.

Export video frame to pictures not available I have selected the frame to Export and clicked on File/Export. However, the option to Export Frame to Pictures is greyed out. I have done this in the past, so I know how to do it. But the option isn't available. I have OS Monterey 12.7.1.

iMovie “video missing” I edited a video on iMovie and I deleted the original video thinking iMovie would keep the edited one but once I deleted it, iMovie deleted my edited version and I want it back. Is there any way for me to get it back?
