Changing IPhone clock ahead or back during travelling

I’m cruising west in the Pacific Ocean, across several time zones…no reference points available. How do I turn the phone clock manually to current hour??

We both just returned from the trip overseas a couple days ago so maybe the phone is still confused? Location settings are on. Time zone is correct. Any suggestions?

I noticed that arriving there, and coming back here, the iPhone failed to set itself to the local time. Both times I had to do this manually. Why was this feature not working like it should? automatic time changing incorrectly How come every time I turn on automatic date and time, my phone changes my time zone an hour backwards to somewhere in Alaska? It has happened several times overnight causing my alarm to go off late. I live in San Francisco, same time zone as Cupertino and my partners iPhone has been staying with the Cupertino time zone.

Hello karolynwithaK,

To change your iPhones clock manually you can follow these Steps:

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
Turn off Set Automatically.
Change the time zone or the date and time: Tap Time Zone and enter a city with the time zone that you need. Or tap the date to change the date and time manually.
