M1 MacBook Pro can’t turn on/ can’t load startup settings

Hello,

My mac won’t turn on. Last night I turned off the mac using the shutdown button in the top left corner. I then left the mac by an open window over night and it got pretty cold. I went to go use the mac this morning and it wouldn’t turn on.

I’ve tried leaving it plugged into the charger in case the battery had gone flat and that wasn’t the issue. The charger turned green in around 15 minutes. When I’ve tried to turn the mac on by holding the power button for around 10 seconds, the apple logo would pop up, then the screen would go black again.

After this, I tried starting the mac in recovery mode. To do this I first held down the power button to turn the mac off, then held the power button, control and command until the apple logo pops up with the text ‘continue holding for startup options’, then once a message saying ‘loading start up options’ I let go and after a couple of seconds the screen goes black again. I’ve tried this with the mac plugged in and not plugged in. There is nothing else plugged into the mac and all bluetooth devices are turned off.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
