How to Copy a Numbers Table Style from One Document to Another (pre-existing) document.

As the title says - I have a document with perhaps a dozen sheets and want to use a table style I created and saved in other documents. How do I get the style into the existing document I'd like to change?

(A template with the desired style already exists - but starting a new document from a template and then transferring every sheet will be time consuming and isn't a really great solution.)

I think you misunderstood what Badunit said. Copy the whole table "as a table", not its content.

Select a table but make sure no cell in it is selected, by clicking in its top-left corner donut. Then copy, switch document and paste. It will appear exactly as it is in the source document. Then you can create a new style from it.
