Transferring notes from an old iPad (mini 1st Gen.) to a new iPhone (2022 SE)
I am trying to transfer notes from the (Apple) Notes app on an old iPad (an iPad mini first generation) via airdrop to my iPhone SE 2022. The new device allows me to open the file, but it comes out looking like this… Here's a sample (no sensitive information here):
<div>Cambridge History of Twentieth-Century Music,"(Post-)minimalisms, Robert Fink</div><div><br></div><div>Minimalism often referred to at first as "trance", "hypnotic", "repetitive", and even "neo-primitive".</div><div><br></div><div>Minimalist period between, 1964 or 1968 to about 1981 or 82.</div><div><br></div><div>1968, Columbia Masterworks "plucked Terry Riley's In C out of California counterculture."</div><div><br></div><div>1981, Philip Glass, "fresh from the European triumph of his second opera, signed an exclusive classical recording contract with CBS Records"</div><div><br></div><div>Milestones in minimalism:</div><div><br></div><div>1968 - Columbia releases Riley's In C</div><div><br></div><div>1969 - Riley's "sequel", "A Rainbow In Curved Air"</div><div><br></div><div>1971 - Influential European tour by Glass and Reich</div><div><br></div><div>1973 - Major-label recording of Reich's "Drumming"</div><div><br></div><div>1974 - Uptown New York performance and pop-rock label Virgin release of Glass' "Music In Twelve Parts"</div><div><br></div><div>1976 - Simultaneous sold-out premieres of Reich's "Music for Eighteen Musicians" and Glass' "Einstein On the Beach" in New York.
The iPad I am transferring from is so old that I cannot find any other way to transfer the notes from it to a newer device. I can't email them to myself because it is so old my mail app is glitchy. And I'm not sure iCloud is an option because it syncs to a different Apple ID than that which I currently have, and I'm concerned that if I sign into my current ID (If that is even possible), I will lose all of my apps or something like that.
What I would like to know is:
1. Is there an easy way to clean up the above and get these notes looking like they did in the notes app? Say, a third-party app that can translate the gobbledygook.
2. Given the situation as I've outlined it, can anyone think of an easier way to get these notes off of my old iPad mini other than airdropping them one by one?
Thank you all for your time.
