Edit Text tones

Please 🙏 for the love of the old Gods and the new, Apple will you let me simply click on the dam text, alert, or ringtones and CHANGE THE LENGTH. You could do this on any other system but OHHHH NO, you can’t access files you paid for, my names APPLE 🍎, don’t touch your own files!

I can go into videos and change the length of them. I downloaded a text tone of NIN headlike a hole but it’s :29 and I figure I’ll edit it down to :04 …nope. Can’t access it outside of settings unless I jump into iTunes on the PC. Even then I would need to get it off Apple and into a program. I might have to record it into a third party then trim with another app then record onto my phone. By then the sound would be horrible. Wasted money.

Right… so does anyone know how to edit text/alert tones, as in shortening them. Also explain in great detail why I pay 1100$ every new phone and I cannot access the files I buy then edit them. It’s crazy. Especially when it’s me signed in without question. So security reasons is a cop out.
