Collaborating keynote files between ipad and Mac

I recently created a presentation in icloud drive using my ipad.

When I tried to open it in my Mac, the system asked me to update the keynote.

When checked with the Appstore, the Keynote was up to date.

After multiple tries, figured out that I should update my OS before updating my keynote.

This was confusing.

Please update the message properly for ease of use.
