just installed ventura 13.6.1 from mohave.

under applications: no iTunes. Also No song library. no playlists. aaaarrrrggg

iTunes was replaced with Music which is basically the same except you now sync and backup with Finder. You do not need to subscribe to Apple Music to use Music.

okay the apple help guy dragged an old library from an external time machine hard drive. It's not my current faves. Now my library has my (old) music divided these smart playlists. I hate them. I made a new ordinary playlist and dragged the songs from one smart playlist to it. How can I erase the smart playlist I copied from? I highlighted it in Music, and hit delete but that didn't do it. If you hit delete from library a warning comes up that says the music will be erased from your library.
