My iPhone started doing this too while charging. I am utilizing the charging equipment that came with the phone. It was not always this way.
Not: “poor quality” or “off-brand” charging equipment.
Not: Something the phone “always does.” The normal experience I’ve had with all iPhones is one chime at the time iPhone is connected to charger.
Never continuous chiming.
Also: One chime when iPhone reaches 100% = normal.
You didn’t read the thread, did you? If you had you would know that a properly working iPhone beeps ONCE when the charger is connected. Period. It does NOT beep repeatedly during the charge, and does NOT beep when charging completes.
If your iPhone beeps while charging something is wrong. Or, you are getting notifications from some other app that you subscribe to and you think they are related to charging. Or you are experiencing brief power interruptions which stop charging; when the power comes back it will be a new charging cycle.
Those stating this “chiming throughout the charging process is the new normal,” please provide a link to iPhone user manual where it states that this is so. Thank you!
Please point to a post that said “chiming throughout the charging process is the new normal,”. It is not, new or otherwise.
